What should I bring to the open call? Simply bring your completed application, two recent photos of yourself and a copy of your resume if you have it. The photos do not have to be a specific size or professionally done.
If I attend an open call, do I need to bring or make a video? No. If you plan on attending an open call, there’s no need for you to bring or submit a video.
Should I bring a dish I’ve made? Am I going to be asked to cook anything? Nope! As stated above, you just need to bring your application and two photos.
Do I need an appointment? No. All of our open calls are conducted on a first come, first served basis. There are no appointments.
What can I expect from the open call? Below are a few things to note:
- Depending on what time you arrive, you may have to wait to be seen by our casting team. You might want to bring a book or magazine to occupy you until your name is called.
- We will look at everyone’s application (after the open call). The application is an important part of us getting to know you better; detailed and honest answers are great!
What happens if I show up after 2pm? If you arrive between 10am and 2pm, you will be seen by the casting team. If you arrive later than 2pm, you may or may not be seen!
What should I wear to the open call? Wear whatever you feel best represents you! We want you to be true to yourself, so whether you’re a tee-shirt and jeans kind of person or you like to get dolled up, put on an outfit that expresses who you are. If you’re a chef, no need to wear your whites.
Do I have to have to have formal training to apply? Nope! Everyone–from home cooks to professional chefs–are welcome to apply.
